What does horse-back riding do for children?

Riding is a physical activity that requires skill, balance and coordination, plus intellectual and theoretical understanding. Riding improves fitness, strength, flexibility, and stamina.

Riding is a sport like no other because it involves a partner of an other species that lacks the ability to verbally communicate, and so enhances a persons intellectual and emotional understanding to be thoughtful and compassionate.

They learn patience, courage and determination. Riders learn to take responsibility for their own actions and consequences. They learn to put their egos aside and look for causes, reasons and solutions.
They learn to apply themselves, learn how to focus, work hard and work smart. Horsemanship isn’t limited to riding. Learning to care for horses means learning how to take responsibility for another being that is completely dependent on them for its care, health and well being.

Whether the ride was fun or frustrating, when it’s over, the horses needs must be met, then taking time to look after their own needs-these are the habits of a horseman that can be applied throughout life.

Give your child the gift that will last a lifetime. Start your child in the saddle of success today!

If you are a beginner rider, you will participate in private lessons until you become capable to advance to group lessons.
